Scholarship support allows the Simmons School of Education and Human Development to attract and retain bright students with diverse experiences. Donors foster an atmosphere rich in research and collaborative learning. 

 

Because Simmons students are frequently school teachers and administrators, the cost of graduate school can often be a barrier. As a result, providing opportunities to pursue advanced education degrees is among the highest funding priorities for Simmons School.

 

Investing in students at the nationally ranked Simmons School can equip educators to put innovative best practices to work in their schools, transforming social conditions and advancing human potential.

Simmons 25 by 25 initiative

Over 60% of Simmons students receive scholarship support each year, but a significant amount of need is unmet. By 2025, the Simmons School aims to secure gifts to fund 25 new scholarships, each at a level of $25,000 or more. 

 

Donors to this initiative will shape the leaders of tomorrow as they pursue their personal, professional and educational goals.

Enriching teaching and leadership

  • Promotes recruitment and retention of outstanding graduate students in the Simmons School.
  • Provides vital dollars for graduate student scholarships in high priority areas of need.
  • Includes students from all Simmons departments with special emphasis on opportunities for teachers and educational leaders.
